Chateau de Villette is the commanding, regal 17th-century chateau that was featured in the film The Da Vinci Code. Located near Versailles, just 35 minutes from the heart of Paris, this stunning estate offers one of the most memorable vacations in France. Jules Hardouin-Mansart and Andre Le Notre designed Versailles at the same time as they designed Chateau de Villette, in the 17th century. Therefore Villette was nicknamed "Le Petite Versailles."The estate is set upon 185 acres of beautifully manicured lawns and gardens, designed by Le Notre, containing numerous fountains and pristine lakes filled with swans, ducks, birds and fish. The villa also has a private swimming pool, new tennis court, a variety of outdoor recreation activities and a chapel that seats up to 80.The spacious villa offers lavish living spaces, including 18 remodeled bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Visitors enter the chateau through a limestone hallway that leads into the Grand Salon and onto the music salon, library and billiards room with bar. The formal dining area is also found on this level and is furnished with a 17th-century carved stone buffet. The kitchen was remodeled in 2001 and is equipped with top-of-the-line professional appliances.Chateau de Villette provides the fine amenities and services.  Caretakers reside in the Gate House and monitor visitors. Staff services are available by prior arrangement and for additional fee. However guests are also welcome to bring their own staff. Organized weekly programs are available upon request and include golfing and gallery tours.
