Stepping up the granite rock face of the cliffs above Bantry Bay, this modern  and spacious villa was designed to incorporate indoor and outdoor living experiences.  Filled with light, the living areas embrace the dramatic Atlantic sea views.   Flowing spaces open fully to exterior terraces and views, while the interior is characterized by water features and natural and reflective materials.   Secluded and private, Qala is a ten minute walk from  renowned Clifton and Camps Bay Beaches, as well as from vibrant nightlife, shopping and dining venues.

The spill-over mosaic tile pool, temperature controlled year round, floats over the bay below.  Outdoor seating, reclining and dining areas surround it.  Seamless sculpted concrete ceilings rise 6 meters above walnut, marble  and glass floors in the open plan living areas.  Several seating areas, a full wet bar and wine cellar, indoor dining, TV room, media room, and a fully equipped kitchen round out the living spaces;  all of them opening to the breathtaking Atlantic views.  Attention to comfort and detail is also reflected in furnishings by such designers as Fritz Hansen, Charles Eames, B & B Italia and Erro Saarinen.  International and South African art and sculpture liberally decorate the walls and open spaces.

The six levels of Qala are accessed by a glass enclosed elevator. Five bedroom suites are spacious, each with sitting areas and en-suite bathrooms.  Featuring natural rock accents, the master bedroom boasts a King sized bed, a private terrace on the second level, a mini-gym with Technogym training equipment, a study and a steam shower and bath.  The third level also features a private apartment suite with kitchenette, separate balcony and queen sized bed. The remaining suites on the fourth, fifth and sixth levels,  offer a queen bed, a double bed, and two double beds, respectively.  Bedroom suites are privately located on separate levels and each hosts a private balcony. All suites pamper guests with fine Eqyptian cotton bedding, silk filled duvets and designer bath accessories.

Guests may also take advantage of the dedicated massage area and the use of a 4 X 4 vehicle or the convertible Mini-Cooper. The villa is fully staffed, including chef, house manager, housekeeping, and security guard. Breakfast, as well as wine, tea and coffee, are complimentary. Qala also offers Plasma TV, an extensive selection of DVDs and books, Wifi Internet access and airport pick up from Cape Town airport.
