Description
Bajacu villa is perched on eleven hilltop acres, above the pristine southern shore of Providenciales, providing stunning views of the sea.
Bajacu villa means Rising Sun in the native tongue of the Arawak Indians. The name reflects the red and ochre hues of Bajacu villa's dramatic architecture which is complemented by two wrap around infinity pools. Bajacu villa was designed by the Mexican architect Marco Aldaco, who has been featured in Architectural Digest.
A natural stone path leads from the villa to a wooden staircase that descends to the shoreline. An aluminum ladder grants access to the warm translucent sea where the water is approximately five feet deep.
Indoors, antiques from Africa, China, and Indonesia and original works of art are set under high thatched-style ceilings. The open space living plan hosts a fully equipped kitchen, formal dining room, living room and study/office. The formal dining room comfortably seats 16 guests and is complemented by an al fresco dining terrace. The outdoor living room is set under a soaring palapa roof, supported by white sculpted columns. A column lined pergola shaded pathway connects the palapa, indoor living room and indoor and outdoor dining areas.
Each of the five bedroom suites has ceiling fans, air-conditioning, safe, telephone, walk-in closet, Internet access, and ensuite bathroom with hairdryer. Three bedrooms offer one king bed each and two bedrooms each offer two double beds. All bedrooms provide flat screen cable television with dvd and each open to a furnished terrace with stunning ocean views. The master bedroom is especially private, and located in a separate building.
The boat captain will take guests to secluded beaches accompanied by a professional divemaster. Staff, housed in separate quarters, includes housekeeping, cook, and gardener.
