Villa La Battaglia

Forte dei Marmi is just on the edge of Maina di Massa and is one of the most popular Tuscan seaside destinations on the Tyrrhenian. Mainra di Pietrasanta was built around a jetty that was originally created in the 16th century to ship Apian Marble. Since the last 1700s the historical landmark (or should we say sea mark) has been sheltered by an outpost that was built by Leoploldo I. The outposts still exists and is visible from the middle of Garibaldi square. Lovely pinewoods meet ocean in this picturesque ocean side town and visitors flock to the area each summer for the fun night life, cultural events and good old fashioned summer fun in the sun.

The house, located on the south side of Forte Dei Marmi was built by a famous Italian painter and has recently been restored by Ilda, the villa owner, and her family. There is a study, a large living room with a fire place and a spacious country kitchen perfect for whipping up tasty Italian cuisine. The grounds consist of lovely gardens, a separate building for staff quarters, a nice outdoor terrace for dining, children's playground amenities and a car port for three cars.
