Villa Il Sogno

This lovely four bedroom, five bathroom villa is bathed in traditional amber Tuscan light and offers commanding views from both the interior and outdoor living areas.  The exterior of the farmhouse, as well as the interior and furnishings, blend charming traditional touches such as wooden beams, large windows, antique furniture and natural stone with modern elements and stylish comfort.

The flow from indoor to outdoor living is seamless and features three stone terraces  and two outdoor dining areas as well as pergola covered cooking facilities complete with an authentic Tuscan oven.  Guests will enjoy lounging poolside surrounded by lavender while marveling at the lovely infinity edged swimming pool which appears to spill directly into the orchards and hillside.  The terraced property boasts orchards  and vineyards featuring many fruits as well as four different varieties of grapes.

The tiled ground floor entry leads to the spacious bedrooms. The hardwood floored master bedroom features sitting and dressing areas, queen bed, air conditioning and wood framed arched doors opening onto its own terraza.  The full bathroom is en-suite with double sinks.  The warm and light second bedroom on the ground floor boasts two twin beds which can be pushed together to form a king, as well as a ceiling fan and an en-suite bathroom.

A stone staircase with frescoed walls leads to the wooden floored upper reception area which in turn opens to the large living room.  That space features beamed ceilings, tiled floors, a commanding Tuscan fireplace, and lots of lots of windows, views and light.  The open plan flows into the dining area which offers an inlaid wooden table and comfortable seating for fourteen.  The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped and modern, while remaining warm and cozy.  The hardwood floored library  includes an office area and is well stocked with touring and art books.

There are two bedrooms on the second level, one with to twins or one king bed and the other with a queen sized bed.  Both ample bedrooms are equipped with en-suite full bathrooms. The upper floor bedrooms feature  large shuttered windows, beautiful views and ceiling fans.

Guests at Il Sogno will enjoy a pampered Tuscan country experience in the heart of the Tuscan Chianti wine region.  The setting is private but close to Firenze gardens, vineyards, orchards, the Etruscan treasures of Fiesole, Gothic architecture in Siena, and the charming nearby piazza of Compiobbi.
