Description
Guests choosing the three bedroom L'Ulivo suite will overlook the authentic Tuscan village center from its ancient stone rampart. The building has been meticulously restored and remodeled from the existing stone structures.
The ground floor entrance opens to the spacious foyer which is graced by the rising stone staircase with wrought iron balustrade and exposed brick accents. The ground floor boasts three spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a double bed and ensuite bathroom. There is also a bedroom with two twin beds and en-suite bathroom, as well as another spacious double bed bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Each bedroom opens onto its own small terrace.
The upper floor landing and study overlook the open ground floor reception area. The spacious living room features high wooden beamed ceilings, a large decorative fireplace, sunny balcony, and adjacent cozy dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with the decorative touch of an ornamental traditional Tuscan brick oven. Of course, in keeping with the Borgo Mora tradition, L'Ulivo showcases antique family furnishings, as well as comfortable modern elements, some designed by the famous architect Maurizio Montani della Fargna.
Guests at Borgo Mora gather in the communal areas which include the magnificent infinity edged pool, pool loggia for lounging, the honesty drinks and coffee bar, and dressing rooms. Informal meals or drinks poolside may be arranged. Borgo Mora does request that guests not bring personal food or drink into the pool or other communal areas. Communal areas also require appropriate attire in deference to the cultural and business requirements of the borgo. A personable and knowledgeable keyholder will greet guests and assist with orientation. 24 hour personalized multilingual concierge service may be reserved. The stunning suspended galleria workspace and library offer complementary wifi and an assortment of books, magazines and periodicals. The warmth of the billiard room invites guests to play games or to just lounge and chat. Impressive arches mark the entrance to the enoteca, where guests find themselves surrounded by walls lined with local Chianti wines and grappas. Private meals and wine tastings for small parties may be arranged in advance. Separately, guests may choose to dine in the private restaurant and sample the exquisite pairing of Borgo Mora’s olive oils with delicious Tuscan fare. Tours of the working frantolio and tastings of the award winning Borgo Mora olive oils may be requested. The state-of–the-art theatre may be reserved for private functions depending on availability and at separate cost.
Outdoors, guests may stroll among the olive groves and dry stone terraces or rest in the shade of a cool loggia. Numerous well marked paths traverse the Pratomagno slopes and wander through the surrounding forests of beech and chestnut trees, along the river, over the bridges and by the waterfalls. More strenuous hikes, mountain biking, horseback adventures, fishing and use of the private game reserve may also be arranged.
Although guests might never want to leave Borgo Mora, the village is conveniently close to Chianti, Arezzo, shopping, dining and rail connections.
