Il Frantoio villa was originally a working olive press on the Controni estate. Once used by the villagers of Vorno, Il Frantoio remains surrounded by beautiful terraced olive groves. Its recent restoration has yielded a charming and comfortable home, with views looking out across the swimming pool towards the distant walled city of Lucca.
This most comfortable of Tuscany villas is fully heated and air conditioned. Its ground floor includes a main entrance hall and staircase, a homey and fully equipped Tuscan kitchen and breakfast room, a spacious lounge with comfortable sofas and armchairs, music system, satellite TV, and a desk area with computer, printer, fax, telephone and wireless Internet access. On the first floor there are four spacious and well-appointed bedrooms, each with modern en suite bath and shower facilities.
One of the most accessible of Italy villas, Il Frantoio is within easy reach of Pisa airport and train station, Florence airport and train station, and the Lucca train station. Tennis facililties and a golf driving range are only five minutes away, and full 18-hole, par-72 courses at Montecatini or Versilia Golf Club are a 30-minute drive. Close at hand are all the wonders of Tuscany, from the medieval walled town of Lucca to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Daily maid and chef services are provided.
