Description
L'Uccelliera is a former hunting lodge built at the end of the 19th century on a hill just above the village of Monterosso. It is surrounded by vineyards, lemon trees and gardens. The property boasts outstanding views: Its eastern side looks out to the Cinque Terre, as far as the island of Tino, and the western side has a view of Punta Mesco, which stands out from the sea.
One of the impressive Liguria villas, it is part of a 5,000-square-meter estate that extends on two sides of a hill. The ground floor of L'Uccelliera includes a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with windows overlooking the garden, and bathrooms with showers. A staircase leads to the first floor, where guests will find a spacious living/dining room and a large kitchen. The second floor offers a bedroom with French bed and a single bed, a bathroom with shower, a living room with fireplace, and two lovely terraces.
The old town of Monterosso is just at a 10-minute walk away along a footpath that goes past a Capuchin convent. A shorter path from the house leads to the sea. For an invigorating Italy villas experience, visitors can explore hiking trails to Vernazza and Levanto, which pass through olive groves and vineyards on hillsides that fall straight down to the sea. Maid service is provided once a week.
