Description
Villa Giulia II is a historical country villa located on the island of Capri. This Italy villa rental dates to the early 17th century and is dressed in Neapolitan design. Large columns frame the garden stairway to the main entrance of Villa Giulia II. Century old trees are displayed among flourishing flowers and shrubbery enhancing the old world charm of this villa in Capri. A lovely swimming pool is nestled amongst this foliage rendering peace and privacy to its guests.
Villa Giulia II consists of seven elegantly dressed units. These lovely rooms are named after famous guests who have stayed at Villa Giulia II over the centuries.
The first room is named for the artists that have graced this villa with their presence; "The artists' Room". It is charming room with a fabulous bathroom in white marble mosaic and two antique bathtubs that date back to the 18th century. The Voyager's room at Villa Giulia II represents items acquired from voyages to the Orient that create a striking ambiance. A large four-poster bed, draped with gorgeous fabric, offers a view out to the spacious terrace. The Venetian room is named for the grand 18th century Venetian bookcase displayed at the entrance to the bedroom and presents a large Turkish bath crafted in Scagliola. The Collector's room displays a fabulous collection of Neapolitan paintings from the 1700's with a Jacuzzi tub and sea views from its terrace.
Villa Giulia II features a Louis XVI room with exquisite Louis XVI 'boiserie' that panels an entire wall with its large four-poster bed, a plunge pool and terrace. The Oriental room is situated at the very top of the villa and is furnished with Chinese furniture and 'Coeve' fabrics. The bathroom has a shower made from Venetian mosaic. The Garden suite is a duplex bedroom with fully operating empire marble tub. Up to four people can sleep in this garden Suite, as there are two separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
