Chateau d'Yvetot villa is a commanding, beautiful Normandy property that dates back to the 17th century, located just minutes from the coast in the beautiful region of Cotentin. This historic castle is set upon seven beautifully manicured hectares of land, filled with running streams, gardens with rare ginkgoes and palms, and antique 19th-century follies. The Treaty of Cherbourg was signed in the hall of this magnificent castle, which has stayed in the same family for more than 500 years. The villa also has a private swimming pool with Roman steps, a chapel, small 19th-century manor house, a covered game room and tennis court.
This stunning Normandy villa rental greets guests with a double hall that is finished in Carrara marble. It leads to the formal dining room, which can seat up to 20, as well as the marvelous kitchen. To the left of the hall is a large billiards room. The upper level of the villa opens onto a landing and leads into a drawing room and library, which features Louis XVI wood paneling and a marble fireplace. The master suite is furnished with a queen and twin beds, as well as an en suite bathroom with separate toilet. The second floor of the villa houses the seven guest suites, each with an en suite bathroom.
This vacation home in Normandy can accommodate up to 15 guests, including babies and small children. A maid tidies five days a week and a gardener resides on the property with his friendly dog. Chef services are available upon request, for an additional charge. The owners may also occupy a private wing of the villa, but their presence will not interfere with guests. The beautiful beaches of Normandy are about a 20-minute drive from the villa and offer activities for visitors of all ages.
