The two-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago lies far south in the Caribbean, just seven miles off the coast of Venezuela. The majority of the population, commerce and activity is found in Trinidad, while Tobago, just 21 miles northeast, offers 116 square miles of serenity, simplicity and unspoiled natural beauty.
Tobago is physically beautiful and the people warm and welcoming. This island has some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling anywhere. A massive nutrient-rich flow from the rivers of South America feeds the reefs and waters of Tobago, producing an unusually rich diversity of species. The largest recorded brain coral in the world is found at Speyside, a fishing village on the northeast coast.
Birdwatchers revel in the more than 200 species that live on the island, including the rare Red Billed Tropicbirds that nest off the cliffs of Little Tobago, a short boat trip from the Speyside coast. Tobago also has golf, excellent rainforest hiking, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, tennis and all water sports.
LaCURE offers the finest private villas with pools available on Tobago. You won’t see huge hotels lining the beach because the proud residents of the island have fought to preserve its natural beauty. At luxury LaCURE Tobago villas, nothing will come between you and the natural wonders of this astonishingly beautiful island.
Whether you’re heading off to the islands for a fun family vacation in the sand and surf or you’d like to romance your partner in an idyllic tropical setting, Tobago villas offer an exclusive retreat that can serve as the primary attraction or perfect jumping-off point during your stay in Tobago.
The island boasts exotic flora and fauna and has been dubbed “The Galapagos of the West Indies” because of its abundance of wildlife. The properties are found in some of the most secluded, breathtaking locations in the Caribbean. Villa Being, for example, is nestled on the hillside within a five-acre organic fruit farm, so you literally won’t see anyone else for miles.
