Calivigny Island is a 81 acre private island, located just off of Grenada, the "Spice Isle" of the West Indies. Calivigny is a spectacular secluded escape, which caters small to medium size groups. Opulent and grand, The Calivigny Island Beach House is a richly imagined melding of Balinese influence with French Colonial design. Vast, with nearly 140,000 square feet (13000 square meters) of living space, the residence offers 10 spacious bedroom suites, various dining areas both formal and casual, a massive salon with floor to ceiling windows all around, a game room with billiards, a huge, fully staffed, professional kitchen and a well stocked wine cellar.
Marble floors, vaulted Balinese style ceilings, French windows and doors, swirling stair cases with ornate wrought iron banisters and rich fruit wood steps come together with sumptuous fabrics, rich vibrant Persian carpets, plush leather couches, art deco furnishings and design by Oscar de la Renta and Richard Frinier.
Each of the ten bedroom suites at Calivingy Island is furnished with a king size bed, lovely sitting area, wet bar, massive carved wooden wardrobes, small writing desks and dining tables. Unique in design, with a sunken Jacuzzi here or a loft- style bedroom gallery there, every guest suite is richly appointed, spacious, and comfortable with exquisitely appointed en suite bathrooms, private entrances and lovely views of the island and ocean beyond.
Outdoor living is a welcome delight on Calivigny Island, with a magnificent free form swimming pool complete with swim up bar, expansive decks with plush lounge chairs, an outdoor massage gazebo with breezy privacy curtains, plenty of al fresco dining areas, a giant retractable viewing screen with comfy seating for movie nights, and plenty of jogging or biking trails for guest enjoyment.
With a fully equipped fitness gym,unrestricted access to several watercraft including a 44 ft. Hinckly a 27 ft. Boston whaler a 38 ft. Munson Landing Craft and VideoRay RVO submarine, not to mention jet skis, bikes, quads and more, there is plenty to keep a guest busy when not lounging by the pool or gazing out over the crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean.
