Description
Firefly is a delightful split-level, beachfront townhouse at Merlin Bay on the west coast of Barbados. This charming property is set amid lush tropical gardens designed to offer a high degree of privacy. This two level residence offers comfortable, spacious interiors and balconies providing spectacular views over the magnificent gardens and pool to the sea. The air-conditioned living room is sunken, offering a cozy conversation pit for those breezy tropical evenings. Ceiling fans are placed throughout Firefly, offering guests additional comfort. Dining at Firefly may be either inside or on the terrace beneath the Caribbean stars. The kitchen is well equipped, ensuring that the preparation of meals will be a tropical breeze. Guests at Firefly have their own plunge pool as well as use of the central lagoon-style swimming pool and sun deck. This main pool has a terrace overlooking the lovely Merlin Bay beach with private steps leading down to excellent swimming and snorkeling. Some of the amenities that guests residing at Firefly will enjoy include a CD player, a DVD player, internet access, and DirecTV color television.
Each of the three air-conditioned bedrooms at Firefly is comfortable and inviting. The master bedroom and the second bedroom are located on the upper floor. The master suite is fitted with a King sized bed and opens onto a private balcony, and features a private en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. The second bedroom is fitted with a King sized bed, and its private en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower only. The third bedroom is located on the ground floor of the villa, and is fitted with a King bed. This third bedroom features a private en-suite bath with bath and shower, and opens onto the plunge pool terrace.
Guests are well looked after by a friendly and efficient staff which is comprised of a housekeeper/cook and a maid/laundress. Firefly is located only a short drive away from Royal Westmoreland and the Sandy Lane Hotel, where five-star golf, tennis and spa facilities are available. Grantley Adams International Airport is an approximate forty minute transfer from Firefly.
